BILHARZ, Theodor
1825-1862
German doctor in the Egyptian service (cf. bilharzia). 1862 travelled in the eastern Sudan with the Duke of SAXE-COBURG-GOTHA. Died of exhaustion on return to Cairo.
BILLINGS. Commodore Joseph

Commodore RN and marine surveyor. AB under Cook on last voyage. Ended as captain the Russian navy and led exploring expeditions.

Soldier. Gov. of Connaught. Took part in several naval expeditions and fought (probably) at Lepanto.
