APOLLONIUS of Tyana
b. ca 3 BC
Native of Tyana in Cappadocia. Neo-Pythagorean teacher. Travelled in Asia Minor, the Middle East and as far as India. Later travels in Spain, Italy and Greece. Patronised by Vespasian.
A "Life" was written by Philostratus.
